Product Review: Boscia Cleansing Sponge with Bamboo Charcoal

For Christmas, I received some new products to try and as a gift I was especially excited about the Boscia Konjac Cleansing Sponge with Bamboo Charcoal and Detoxifying Black Cleanser.

The cleansing sponge has always interested me and, after using the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask for years, I was looking forward to trying more of the line.

As a very loyal Clarisonic girl, it was a little strange to not use it every day since Christmas, but I’m loving rotating the two so far. The sponge is awesome — it softens up when you wet it and, combined with the detoxifying cleanser, I really feel like my face is so clean after using it. Occasionally, I have to take a break from the Clarisonic because it does clean so deeply. I’m hoping that the mixture of the two will be the perfect combination.

Below is what the sponge promises:

Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Bamboo Charcoal cleanses and exfoliates to deliver smoother, softer, brighter-looking skin while minimizing the appearance of pores and eradicating blemish-causing bacteria. Formulated for combination to oily skin, the konjac root absorbs debris and impurities, while the bamboo charcoal acts as a natural anitbacterial agent, to cleanse deeply and detoxify pores without irritation. Gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin types, it can be used over the face, neck, and even the delicate undereye area. When used regularly, it helps draw out impurities, minimize the appearance of pores, and reduce blemish-causing bacteria

It definitely delivers. Even though my skin feels SUPER clean, it doesn’t feel like it’s been through the ringer and I have no redness which is amazing.

Below is a description of the cleanser:

This Black Cleanser heats up on contact with skin to effectively open and de-clog pores. Its gel texture transforms into a gentle and effective lather to dissolve oil and makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities, and excess oil. It refines skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and minimizes the look of pores over time.

What I’ve really loved about the cleanser and the sponge is that I don’t have to use a ton of product to get a great lather to wash my face. It always frustrates me when I go through a bottle or tube of something quickly because it takes a ton of product to be effective.

Another part of the the gift was the Charcoal Pore Minimizing Hydrogel Mask. The reviews aren’t great, but I’m looking forward to trying it. The single-use masks seem to have been all the rage this past year. This will be my first time trying one, but some of the Sephora ones are on my list to try out.

I hope this review was helpful — did you receive any beauty-related products for Christmas?

Have a great day!
